The latest technology is implemented to achieve a polish free surface finish. To achieve this surface quality, hydrostatic linear guides and aerostatic spindle technology are integrated.

ASTICMATIC III – ULTRA PRECISION CNC LATHE

The ASTIGMATIC III by RIGEO is an advanced ultra precision CNC lathe developed for high-end optics manufacturing. Designed for maximum accuracy and efficiency, the 3-axis system enables the production of spherical, aspherical, and freeform surfaces with exceptional surface quality—often eliminating the need for polishing.

Built with hydrostatic linear guides and an aerostatic spindle, the machine ensures ultra-smooth motion and outstanding precision. Its ability to process multiple data formats makes it highly adaptable for modern lens production, covering applications such as contact lenses, intraocular lenses, micro-optics, and research-grade components.

The ASTIGMATIC III offers a configurable platform tailored to evolving production needs. Features such as a Fast Tool System with multiple diamond tool positions, flexible spindle clamping options, and automated loading capabilities enable efficient, scalable manufacturing.

Additional systems—including air misting, automatic blow-off, and custom tooling configurations—further enhance productivity while reducing manual intervention.

Despite its compact footprint, the machine delivers powerful performance and stability. A natural granite base, combined with anti-vibration systems and active spindle cooling, ensures consistent precision even at high speeds.
